Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital Officially Opens on 30 July 2024

Jakarta, 30 July 2024. Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital, a specialist heart and blood vessel hospital in Blok S, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, officially opened at an inauguration event in the SCBD area of South Jakarta. The hospital was inaugurated by the then Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, and the event was attended by government representatives, medical professional organizations such as IDI, PERKI, and PERSI, and Heartology’s leadership.

A Call for Regular Heart Checkups

In his remarks, Sandiaga Uno described cardiovascular care as one of the services many Indonesians seek abroad. He invited the public to make heart checkups a habit, including those who have been having their medical checkups overseas.

Heartology’s Chairman, Dr. dr. Dafsah Arifa Juzar, Sp.JP (K), said that Heartology supports the government’s efforts to strengthen medical tourism in Indonesia. According to Dr. Dafsah, adequate health facilities at home can reduce the financial and logistical burden on families who would otherwise seek treatment abroad, especially for conditions that need timely care.

The #SatuDetak Untuk Indonesia Campaign

Alongside the opening, Heartology launched the #SatuDetak Untuk Indonesia campaign. The campaign encourages the public and health workers to pay more attention to heart health by living a healthy lifestyle and having their hearts checked regularly. dr. Reisa Broto Asmoro, who supports the campaign, encouraged women to actively monitor their heart health, as heart disease is now also often found in younger people.
