Is This Package Right for You?
Who This Package Is For
PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) opens a narrowed coronary artery through a catheter, usually by placing a stent. After the procedure, follow-up still matters: making sure your heart works well under exertion and keeping risk factors under control. Heal & Beat (Post PCI) is built around that follow-up. Talk with the doctor who treats you about the right time to take it.
What the Tests Look At
- Treadmill stress echo: an ultrasound of your heart before and right after you walk on a treadmill, to see whether the heart muscle keeps moving well when it works harder. An area that moves less under exertion can point to reduced blood flow there.
- Cholesterol and lipoprotein (a): the lipid panel measures your cholesterol levels, including LDL, which is usually kept low after PCI. Lipoprotein (a) is a blood fat whose level is largely inherited.
- Blood sugar, kidneys, and liver: fasting glucose and HbA1c (your average blood sugar over the past two to three months), kidney and liver function, and a urinalysis. These results also help your doctor review your long-term medicines.
- ABI, ECG, chest X-ray, and BIA: ABI compares blood pressure at your ankles and arms to look for narrowing in the leg arteries, while BIA measures body fat and muscle.
On the Day
The checkup takes about 2 to 3 hours, and you do not need to stay overnight. Come after fasting for 10 to 12 hours for the blood draw, wearing comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. The visit includes a physical exam with a general practitioner, blood and urine samples, ECG, ABI, chest X-ray, BIA, and the treadmill stress echo. Our staff will guide you through the order.
Going Over Your Results
Full results are ready in 2 to 3 working days. A cardiologist reviews them alongside your procedure history and the medicines you take. A clinical nutrition specialist helps you plan meals for cholesterol, blood sugar, and weight. If anything needs follow-up, your doctor will explain the next steps.

Prepare for Your Visit with Peace of Mind.
Before Your Visit
Confirm the schedule, fasting instructions (10-12 hours), and any medicine arrangements with our team. Do not change your medicines on your own.
On the Day of the Checkup
Bring your ID, a list of your medicines, and any previous test results. Estimated time: 2-3 hours, depending on the service flow.
After the Checkup
Estimated time to results: 2-3 business days. Make sure you know when you will discuss the results with a doctor.
Hospital stay: not required, based on the package information. Individual instructions are confirmed by our team.

Understand What the Results Mean and Their Limits.
Results Need to Be Read in Context.
A health checkup helps identify risk factors and early findings. A good result does not guarantee the absence of disease, and some findings may need further tests.
A checkup package does not replace a doctor's assessment of symptoms. If you have severe or sudden symptoms, go to the nearest emergency department right away or call Heart Attack Center 1500 258, rather than waiting for a checkup appointment.
Educational basis: NHS, benefits and limits of screening. The right package is decided with a doctor.

Questions before You Book.
Answers to questions patients often ask after PCI before booking this package.
What should I do to prepare?
Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the blood draw; drinking plain water is usually fine. Bring a list of your medicines, your PCI report, and any previous test results. Wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes, since the package includes a treadmill test. If you take diabetes medicine or insulin, ask about it when you register, because fasting can lower your blood sugar.
Should I keep taking my blood thinners and heart medicines?
Yes, as prescribed. Antiplatelet medicines (blood thinners) given after a stent should never be stopped on your own, because stopping them can raise the risk of a clot forming in the stent. For the treadmill test, the timing of some heart medicines sometimes needs adjusting. That decision belongs to your doctor, so follow the instructions our staff give you when they confirm your appointment, and tell them about every medicine you take.
When is the right time to take this package after PCI?
It differs from person to person, depending on your condition at the time of the procedure and how your recovery is going. Because the package includes a treadmill test that puts load on your heart, ask the doctor who treats you when it should be done. When you register, share the date of your PCI and the hospital where it was done so our staff can prepare the tests for your situation.
How is this package different from the other checkup packages?
Heal & Beat (Post PCI) is for people who already have a coronary stent. It focuses on how your heart works under exertion through a treadmill stress echo, your blood fats including lipoprotein (a), and kidney and liver function, which matter for long-term medicines. If you have not had PCI and you exercise regularly, Cardiac Sportacular is a better fit. If your main concern is the arteries in your neck and legs and your stroke risk, choose Vascular Health & Wellness.
When are results ready, and what happens if something is abnormal?
Full results are ready in 2 to 3 working days, and a cardiologist goes over them with you. If something stands out, such as signs of reduced blood flow to the heart muscle during the treadmill test, the doctor explains what it means and may suggest further tests or a change in medicines. A checkup is screening and does not replace an evaluation of symptoms. If severe chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or fainting occurs before your appointment, go to the emergency department right away.
