dr. Salomo Purba, Sp.BTKV, Subsp.JPK(K), previously worked at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita, Jakarta, the national referral center for heart and blood vessel disease, as part of the medical team handling complex cardiac surgery cases. Dr. Salomo also has practice experience at Mayapada Hospital. Dr. Salomo now practices as a consultant thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgeon focusing on pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery, for both children and adults, at Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital.

dr. Salomo Purba, Sp.BTKV, Subsp.JPK(K), is a consultant thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgeon at Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital, Jakarta, focusing on pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery. Dr. Salomo completed medical school at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, in 1995, followed by the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Residency Program at the same faculty.

In 2015 Dr. Salomo completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiac surgery at Konkuk Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea. Further training includes an Adult Cardiovascular Surgical Fellowship at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita, Jakarta, an Aortic and Endovascular Surgical Fellowship at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Seoul, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) training at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris. Dr. Salomo also holds a fellowship from the International College of Angiology, New York.

Dr. Salomo's areas of expertise include pediatric and congenital heart surgery, heart valve surgery to repair or replace damaged valves, minimally invasive heart surgery through small incisions, and adult cardiovascular surgery. Research interests include pediatric heart surgery, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and the care of patients with congenital heart defects. Dr. Salomo is a member of the Indonesian Association of Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgeons (HBTKVI).
